Just follow the instructions and make your make your own paper shako.

Using black construction paper, a pair of safety scissors, white glue and some help with your parents, you can make a Stovepipe Shako similar to that worn by soldiers during the War of 1812.

If you are a teacher and wish to use this project as a teaching aid, please feel free to do so with our compliments. Keep visiting the 49th Regiment's website for other additions from our activity book. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks for visiting.
